Reading sign Andrew Taylor on loan

Reading sign full-back Andrew Taylor on a season-long loan deal from Wigan Athletic.

Reading have completed the signing of Wigan Athletic full-back Andrew Taylor on a season-long loan deal.

Taylor was a regular in the Latics side last season, but his performances for the club have ensured that he will spend another campaign in the Championship after attracting interest from the Royals.

"I'm delighted that we were able to get Andrew Taylor to join our squad for this season," Reading boss Steve Clarke told the club's website.

"He brings good experience and different attributes to our left back position.

"This was an area in the squad where we needed to make an addition and I feel we have made a good signing in Andrew."

Taylor joined Wigan from Cardiff City on a three-year deal last summer.
