Pavel Pogrebnyak refuses to rule out the possibility of him staying at Reading beyond the end of the current season.

Russian striker Pavel Pogrebnyak has indicated that he would be prepared to play for Reading in the Championship next season.

Following the club's relegation to the second tier of English football, a number of reports had linked the 29-year-old with a move away from the Madejski Stadium this summer.

However, Pogrebnyak has revealed that he will hold talks with owner Anton Zingarevich in the near future, which could result in him staying put.

"I've a four-year long contract with Reading so how could I say I don't want to play here? If it happens like this, then I'll play in the Championship," he told Sport Express. "We'll talk about my future with Anton Zingarevich in the near future."

The centre-forward joined the Royals on a free transfer in 2012.
