Report: Alex Galvez agrees Werder Bremen move

A report claims that Rayo Vallecano defender Alejandro Galvez will join Werder Bremen in the summer.

Rayo Vallecano defender Alejandro Galvez has reportedly reached an agreement to join Werder Bremen on a free transfer at the end of the season.

The 24-year-old, who is regarded as one of the brightest defenders in La Liga, had been widely expected to depart Rayo in the summer when his contract expires.

A number of European clubs have reportedly been monitoring proceedings, but according to Bild, the defender has agreed a three-year contract with Bremen.

Should Rayo lose their relegation battle this season, boss Paco Jemez is expected to be forced to overhaul his squad.
