Harry Forrester "very close" to new Rangers contract

Harry Forrester is not too far away from signing a new contract with Rangers, according to manager Mark Warburton.

Rangers manager Mark Warburton has confirmed that the club are in advanced contract negotiations with Harry Forrester.

The midfielder, who agreed a six-month deal at Ibrox in January, has scored five goals in his last seven outings.

With that form in mind, Warburton is eager to secure the 25-year-old's services on extended terms.

"We're very close to Harry Forrester committing his long-term future to the club," he told reporters.

In total, Forrester has made 14 appearances in all competitions for the Gers.
