Sports Direct has confirmed that police visited its headquarters in relation to their ongoing investigation regarding the previous ownership of Rangers.
The retailing group, which is owned by Mike Ashley, was the centre of interest for the authorities from Scotland working on the two-year inquiry into Craig Whyte's former takeover.
According to Sky Sports News, none of Sports Direct's staff are under investigation, and the visit to their Shirebrook offices was in relation to obtaining certain documentation.
Whyte bought Rangers from David Murray in 2011 for a nominal £1 fee, but the club eventually fell into liquidation in July 2012.
Ashley, who owns Premier League club Newcastle United, currently has a 9% stake in Rangers.
