Ally McCoist still in charge of Rangers

Ally McCoist remains in charge of Rangers after a meeting with members of the club's hierarchy.

Rangers boss Ally McCoist will remain in charge of the team following a meeting with members of the club's hierarchy.

The 52-year-old is currently in a 12-month notice period after handing in his resignation at Ibrox on Monday.

McCoist held discussions with non-executive director Derek Llambias and chairman of the board Sandy Easdale earlier today.

The former striker will still be manager of the Gers when they host Livingston in the Scottish Championship this weekend.

McCoist took charge of Rangers in 2011 before leading the club to successive promotions.
