Joey Barton's ban will reportedly continue indefinitely after he attended a meeting with Rangers on Thursday.
The 34-year-old, who joined the Scottish club on a two-year deal in the summer transfer window, has been ordered to stay away from training since his bust-up with teammate Andy Halliday in the wake of the team's 5-1 defeat to Celtic on September 10.
Barton was initially issued with a seven-day suspension, but after he refused to apologise and gave a radio interview without permission, the ban was extended by three weeks.
The midfielder arrived at Ibrox this afternoon and after holding talks, it was decided that Barton's suspension will continue indefinitely, with no further talks planned, according to The Mirror.
The 34-year-old is said to be earning £20,000 a week at Rangers.
