Queens Park Rangers boss Harry Redknapp says that a host of clubs will be interested in striker Nicolas Anelka if the Shanghai Shenhua player becomes available.

Queens Park Rangers manager Harry Redknapp has suggested that the club could be interested in signing striker Nicolas Anelka if he becomes available.

The 33-year-old currently plays for Chinese Super League outfit Shanghai Shenhua but recent reports have claimed that the ex-Chelsea forward is unsettled with life in Asia.

"He is a good player, a quality player," said Redknapp. "If he's available he will be of interest to people. As far as I know he's gone to China. I don't know what the situation is with that."

The Frenchman has been acting as a player-coach for the Chinese side.
