Former Portsmouth defender Tal Ben Haim has been handed a trial by Queens Park Rangers manager Harry Redknapp.
Ben Haim has been without a club since leaving the financially-stricken League One club this summer and has not played a competitive match since Israel's 4-0 defeat to Russia in September.
However, Redknapp has decided to invite the 30-year-old to train with the Premier League's bottom club.
"I am having a look at him, he's a good defender, he's a good lad and has a great attitude," said Redknapp.
"He looks very fit and I have let him come in and train, we will just see where we go in the next couple of weeks."
Ben Haim has reportedly already agreed to join Chinese Super League club Guangzhou in January.
