Queens Park Rangers unlikely to sign Kolbeinn Sigthorsson

Ajax striker Kolbeinn Sigthorsson will not leave the Dutch giants to sign for a club in the Championship, according to the player's brother.

The brother and agent of Ajax striker Kolbeinn Sigthorsson has insisted that the player won't move to England during the current transfer window.

Queens Park Rangers manager Harry Redknapp attended a Dutch Cup fixture in midweek to assess the 23-year-old, but his brother has ruled out the possibility of a January move.

Adri Sigthorsson told Algemeen Dagblad: "Kolbeinn won't leave Ajax for a club from the English Championship. Sigthorsson is staying where he is."

The Iceland international has scored seven times during this campaign.
