Queens Park Rangers sign Tal Ben Haim

Queens Park Rangers sign Israel international defender Tal Ben Haim until the end of the season.

Queens Park Rangers have signed Israel international defender Tal Ben Haim until the end of the season.

The 30-year-old, who had been without a club since leaving Portsmouth in the summer, had been on trial at Loftus Road.

"Tal's a great professional with vast experience and I'm confident he'll be a really useful addition to the squad," manager Harry Redknapp told the club's official website.

"His attitude is first class and the fact he can play anywhere across the back four is obviously a big bonus for us.

"He just wants to play. He's not here for the money or anything like that. He just wants to come in and do his best for the club."

Ben Haim, who is eligible to make his debut in tomorrow's FA Cup clash with West Brom, has been handed the number 21 shirt.
