Queens Park Rangers are reportedly close to sealing a deal to sign former Aston Villa defender Richard Dunne.
The Republic of Ireland international is a free agent following his release by Paul Lambert's side at the end of last season.
Rangers have moved ahead of Doncaster Rovers to secure the signing of the 33-year-old, as manager Harry Redknapp sees the centre-back as the perfect replacement for the departed Chris Samba, reports Sky Sports News.
Dunne made 111 appearances in his four years at Villa Park.
