Queens Park Rangers admit Richard Dunne interest

Queens Park Rangers chief executive Philip Beard admits that the club is interested in signing former Aston Villa defender Richard Dunne.

Queens Park Rangers chief executive Philip Beard has admitted that the club is keen on signing former Aston Villa defender Richard Dunne.

The 33-year-old, who is currently a free agent, has recently been linked with a move to Loftus Road.

"He's not signed yet but he's a player that Harry (Redknapp) would like to bring to the club," Beard told the Fulham Chronicle.

"We're looking at a number of players. The main thing is that they want to play for the club and are ready for the Championship, which is very different to the Premier League."

QPR begin their bid for promotion to the Premier League at home to Sheffield Wednesday on August 3.
