Loic Remy seals Queens Park Rangers switch

Queens Park Rangers secure the services of French international striker Loic Remy from Ligue 1 side Marseille.

Loic Remy has completed his transfer from Marseille to Premier League outfit Queens Park Rangers.

The 26-year-old had been expected to join Premier League rivals Newcastle United after Marseille revealed that they had accepted a bid from the Magpies over the weekend.

However, QPR manager Harry Redknapp made a late bid for the French international and between him and chairman Tony Fernandes, they managed to convince Remy to sign on at Loftus Road.

"It's OFFICIAL! I am now a @OfficialQPR player. Can't wait to start," the striker posted on the club's twitter page.

You can watch the video of Remy posting that tweet below.

QPR have refused to announce the transfer fee or the length of time that Remy's contract will run for.
