Esteban Granero targeted by Fiorentina?

Queens Park Rangers midfielder Esteban Granero will reportedly be the subject of a £5.6m bid from Fiorentina in January.

The 25-year-old joined QPR from Real Madrid in the summer but is believed to have a release clause which can be triggered if the Hoops are relegated this season.

Rangers boss Harry Redknapp must sell before he buys in the transfer window to balance the books, a situation upon which Fiorentina hope to capitalise.

The Serie A side have adopted a slick passing style and see Granero as a perfect compliment to their system, according to the Evening Standard.

Redknapp dropped Granero for last weekend's draw with Wigan Athletic, adding to speculation that the Spaniard may leave the club next month.
