Neil Warnock has admitted that he nearly left Queens Park Rangers towards the end of last season.
The Rangers boss led his side to promotion from the Championship last campaign, but was left frustrated by the old regime's attempts to influence team selection.
Warnock has revealed that he could have walked out of Loftus Road had former owner Flavio Briatore not left the club first.
"When the old owners came back into full force during the last five or six weeks of last season, it was quite difficult for me, if I'm honest," he told the Daily Star.
"I don't think I'd still be here now if things hadn't changed."
New owner Tony Fernandes took over at the London club at the back end of August and has since overseen the Hoops' rise to 11th in the Premier League.
