Harry Redknapp has said that he will not be involved in Queens Park Rangers' game against Manchester United this afternoon.
The former Tottenham boss was named as the new manager at Loftus Road earlier, following Mark Hughes's dismissal yesterday.
Redknapp told Sky Sports News: "I've come up early to watch but I don't even know what the team is. They've worked with Mark this week so I'll leave it to those lads.
"I'll sit and watch the game and take training in the morning. Then we play on Tuesday at Sunderland, so I'll have a couple of days to get to know everybody and take it from there.
"We'll take a good positive result however it comes today. The performances against Southampton and Reading were disappointing but we need a good performance today."
Redknapp has been out of management since leaving White Hart Lane in the summer.
