Junior Hoilett believes that he will not experience the same troubles with Queens Park Rangers as he did with Blackburn Rovers last season.

Queens Park Rangers forward Junior Hoilett has insisted that the club's fans will have an important part to play as the team attempt to move away from the relegation zone.

Hoilett experienced relegation with Blackburn Rovers last season but believes that there is a "huge difference" between the situations at Ewood Park and Loftus Road.

The Canadian said: "I'm not getting that sense [of deja vu] at all because of the talent we have here throughout the field and even on the bench.

"I have noticed a huge difference at QPR, too, with the fans — they have been great from the start. They are always supporting us, getting behind the team and cheering. You can feel it and sense it. It has helped us.

"They will play a major part in helping us push up the table. Last season was hard at Blackburn because we were in a bad position in the table for most of it and the fans were against the manager and the owner."

Hoilett joined QPR in the summer in a deal reported to be worth £4m.
