Tim Matavz open to PSV Eindhoven departure

PSV Eindhoven striker Tim Matavz reveals that he would be interested in moving to a "bigger league".

PSV Eindhoven striker Tim Matavz has revealed that he would be interested in leaving the Dutch outfit at some point in the future.

The 24-year-old, who has scored 41 goals in 82 games for the club, has been widely linked with a move to Southampton this summer.

"If there will be a day when an offer from an even bigger club than PSV and from an even bigger league than Eredivisie will come to me, I would say yes of course," he told Delo.

"Who wouldn't? But so far I didn't get an offer like that. But to leave PSV just for the sake of it? There isn't any sense in that for me."

Lazio are also believed to be monitoring developments.
