Ruud Gullit warns Memphis Depay against Premier League move

Ruud Gullit says that he wants Memphis Depay to stay at PSV Eindhoven, despite reported interest from Tottenham Hotspur and Manchester United.

Former Chelsea manager Ruud Gullit has warned PSV Eindhoven winger Memphis Depay against a move to the Premier League.

The 20-year-old is reportedly a target of Tottenham Hotspur and Manchester United after a string of impressive displays for club and country.

"You can fall behind in just two years," The Standard quotes Gullit as saying. "Depay has clearly come back with confidence from the World Cup. But I hope that he stays at PSV.

"His peers, such as Karim Rekik or Nathan Ake, prove how it can go if you do not play at clubs like Chelsea and Manchester City."

Depay scored twice for the Netherlands at this summer's World Cup.
