UEFA President Michel Platini warns Paris Saint-Germain off chasing David Beckham.

UEFA President Michel Platini has warned Paris Saint-Germain over chasing David Beckham.

The former England star is currently being courted by the French side for when his contract with MLS side LA Galaxy expires in December.

Beckham is reportedly tempted to work with PSG sporting director Leonardo again after the pair met at AC Milan.

Platini, however, has implied that Beckham might have ulterior motives in moving to Paris.

"Beckham in Paris, that does not scare me at all," Platini said. "It will be good for shops and shopping in Paris.

"He is 36. I like David Beckham, I think he has been a very good footballer, but he is not the football player he was.

"If he comes, it is for something else than football."

Paris Saint-Germain currently lead Ligue 1 with 26 points from 11 games.
