Thiago Motta would "welcome" new midfielder at Paris Saint-Germain

Thiago Motta says that he would "welcome" a new signing at the Ligue 1 champions.

Paris Saint-Germain midfielder Thiago Motta has revealed that he would "welcome" a new signing to the club.

The Ligue 1 champions, who have invested heavily in their squad in recent transfer windows, have signed Edinson Cavani, Lucas Digne and Marquinhos so far this summer.

"If we were able to get a midfielder who would improve us, then he would be welcome," Motta told Tuttomercatoweb.

"But in this case we should be aware that not many could earn a place in the team because we have many quality players."

PSG, who have drawn their opening two matches of the season, travel to Nantes for their next game.
