Nasser Al-Khelaifi: 'Edinson Cavani will not leave Paris Saint-Germain'

Paris Saint-Germain president Nasser Al-Khelaifi insists that Edinson Cavani is not leaving the French champions.

Paris Saint-Germain president Nasser Al-Khelaifi has insisted that Edinson Cavani will not leave the French champions this summer.

The 28-year-old, who scored 31 times for PSG during the 2014-15 season, has been linked with a move away from France over the last couple of months.

However, the club's president has claimed that "the best striker in the world" will remain in Paris.

"I've always defended him. He will stay with us and never leave," he told Telefoot. "He is fine at Paris and, for me, he's the best striker in the world."

Cavani, who has been linked with a move to the Premier League, joined PSG from Napoli in 2013.
