Celtic's Anthony Ralston admits that he was not scared to face off against Neymar in the Champions League clash with Paris Saint-Germain.

Celtic defender Anthony Ralston has admitted that he did not fear playing against Neymar during the Hoops' Champions League clash with Paris Saint-Germain.

The 18-year-old Glaswegian clashed multiple times with the Brazilian superstar, and exchanged words with the former Barcelona attacker. However, Ralston admits that he was not scared to face off against the £200m player.

Speaking to reporters, Ralston said: "I didn't fear him at all. He is just another man on the pitch against me. I didn't have him on a pedestal. I felt I dealt with him quite well, and it's only going to make me a better player coming up against players of the calibre PSG have."

It was widely reported that Neymar had refused to shake Ralston's hand following the match. However, Ralston claimed that he himself never made a move to shake the Brazilian's hand after the full-time whistle.

Ralston, making only his fifth competitive start for Celtic, could do little to stop the firepower of PSG, as the French giants put five past the Scottish champions. Neymar, Edinson Cavani and Kylian Mbappe all scored at Celtic Park, and a Mikael Lustig strike sealed the game for the Ligue 1 side.
