Paris Saint-Germain striker Zlatan Ibrahimovic believes that his side are looking "very strong" ahead of the new Ligue 1 season.

Zlatan Ibrahimovic has claimed that Paris Saint-Germain are looking "very strong" ahead of the new Ligue 1 season.

Les Parisiens picked up their first piece of silverware of the new campaign on Saturday with a 2-1 win over Bordeaux in the Trophee des Champions.

"This is the first trophy of the season, the team is very happy," Goal.com quotes Ibrahimovic as saying.

"We are a strong team with some fantastic players. We just need to make sure we win by training hard and working as a team. I think we are very strong."

PSG get the defence of their Ligue title underway on Friday when they travel to Montpellier.
