Laurent Blanc warns against complaceny

Paris Saint-Germain coach Laurent Blanc warns his players not to relax as they bid to make it 12 games unbeaten in Ligue 1 against Lorient tonight.

Paris Saint-Germain coach Laurent Blanc believes that complacency is the biggest threat to his side's fine start in Ligue 1 this season.

The defending champions are yet to taste defeat in 15 competitive matches this season, a run which includes six wins from their last seven games.

Blanc, who admits that PSG are still adapting to his preferred possession-heavy style of play, has warned his players not to take their foot off the pedal at home to Lorient tonight.

He told Ligue 1's official website: "Given our run of form, complacency is the biggest danger to us. As long as we don't relax we will keep performing well.

"At Saint-Etienne we struggled, even if a draw away from home remains a good result. We are working hard on keeping possession of the ball because that is my philosophy and the way I like to play.

"There have been matches where our performances have been not far from perfect, but there are also teams who have caused us problems, so everything can still be better."

Zlatan Ibrahimovic and Thiago Silva will miss this evening's clash with Lorient through injury, as PSG bid to build a lead ahead of title rivals Monaco at the top of Ligue 1.
