Sam Kelly joins Port Vale

Former Norwich City and Everton midfielder Sam Kelly joins Port Vale on a two-year contract.

Port Vale have announced that midfielder Sam Kelly has joined the club on a two-year contract, with an option for a further 12 months.

The 21-year-old came through Norwich City's academy before joining Everton's youth ranks in 2012, making 25 appearances in the Under-21 Premier League.

Manager Rob Page told the club's website: "I'm very pleased to welcome Sam to Port Vale Football Club. I'm sure he will be a valuable player for us over the next few years."

Kelly spent last season with non-league side Cambridge City in the Southern League Premier Division.
