Adam Yates agrees new Port Vale deal

Port Vale defender Adam Yates pens a new 12-month contract with the League One club.

Adam Yates has signed a new one-year contract with Port Vale.

The 32-year-old, who joined Vale in 2009, had been due to become a free agent at the end of the month.

"The club is delighted to have secured Adam's services for the new season," manager Rob Page told the club's official website.

"He's an experienced and reliable member of the squad and has a real connection with the club which is always important."

Yates has made 234 appearances for the Vale Park-based outfit.
