Two teams who failed to earn a direct entry into Euro 2024 close out the year with a friendly on Tuesday, as Poland host Latvia at Stadion Narodowy in Warsaw.
Michal Probierz's men finished third in Group E to condemn themselves to a spot in the playoffs, while their visitors ended Group D in last place with only three points to their name.
We say: Poland 3-0 Latvia
Amid two managerial alterations, Poland's on-field activities have left something to be desired in 2023, but the Eagles will surely close out a challenging year on a high note.
Barring one success over Armenia, performances and goals have been hard to come by for Latvia in recent months, and even if Probierz does shuffle his resources, Poland should emerge triumphant in routine fashion.

Austria vs. Germany (Tuesday, 7.45pm)

A short trip across the border awaits Germany on Tuesday evening, as Julian Nagelsmann's team take on Austria in their final international friendly of 2023.
Die Mannschaft were humbled 3-2 by Turkey in the weekend's exhibition fixture, while Austria cemented their place at the top of their Euro 2024 qualifying group by defeating Estonia 2-0.
We say: Austria 1-1 Germany
Still acclimatising to Nagelsmann's methods, Germany's hopes of bouncing straight back from their lowly loss to Turkey will not exactly be high at the Ernst-Happel-Stadion, especially with Austria having two more days of rest to work with.
Rangnick's troops have already laid down plenty of markers en route to Euro 2024, and we have faith in Das Team to hold the tournament hosts to a score draw, bringing Die Mannschaft's painful year to an unspectacular end.

Rep. Ireland vs. New Zealand (Tuesday, 7.45pm)

Both teams will be aiming to bounce back from defeat when Republic of Ireland host New Zealand in an international friendly on Tuesday.
Ireland lost 1-0 to Netherlands in Euro 2024 qualifying on Saturday, while New Zealand were beaten 2-0 by Greece.
We say: Republic of Ireland 1-0 New Zealand
Neither side will head into this match with much confidence having struggled in recent times, but Rep Ireland will sense an opportunity to impress their home fans on Tuesday.
New Zealand are incredibly goal-shy and if Wood is rested as expected given his recent injury, Rep Ireland should have enough to narrowly return to winning ways.
