Plymouth Argyle's Derek Adams leads League Two Manager of the Month nominations

Plymouth Argyle boss Derek Adams is one of four nominated for Sky Bet's League Two Manager of the Month award for September.

The Pilgrims sit at the top of the table after picking up 13 points from five games last month, which included wins over Cheltenham Town, Cambridge United, Exeter and Leyton Orient.

John Coleman is also in contention for the monthly award after his Accrington Stanley side came through a tough run of matches unbeaten, adding 11 points to their tally in the process.

Crewe Alexandra sit just outside the promotion places following a positive month of three victories on the bounce, which has resulted in manager Steve Davis being considered for the September gong.

Grimsby Town boss Paul Hurst rounds off the list of nominations after the promoted team claimed three wins and a draw from five fixtures to push the club to ninth place in the standings.
