Krisztian Nemeth strike snatches Sporting Kansas City win

Sporting Kansas City score twice in stoppage time to beat Eastern Conference strugglers Philadelphia Union 3-2.

Philadelphia Union remain rooted to the bottom of the Eastern Conference standings after two stoppage-time goals saw them lose 3-2 at Sporting Kansas City.

The Pennsylvanians took the lead inside three minutes when Sporting defender Jacob Peterson put through his own net.

Kansas got back on level terms on 16 minutes as Dominic Dwyer turned Benny Feilhaber's cross beyond the reach of Rais M'bohli.

However, Union were back in front within a matter of minutes when Sebastien Le Toux teed up Venezuelan forward Fernando Aristeguieta for his third goal of the campaign.

Union almost extended their lead just after the hour mark when Andrew Wenger's effort from Brian Carroll's pinpoint ball into the area was kept out by Luis Marin.

Kansas squandered late opportunities to get back into the game, with Servando Carrasco blazing a shot over the bar before Seth Sinovic fired narrowly wide of M'bohli's right-hand post.

However, the hosts managed to equalise in the first minute of injury time thanks to a Jalil Anibaba strike.

Sporting then snatched victory in the 94th minute after ex-Liverpool attacker Krisztian Nemeth beat M'bohli, following neat build-up play from Matt Besler and Feilhaber.

While Philadelphia remain bottom of the table in the East, Kansas have climbed to fourth in the Western Conference.
