Parma manager Roberto Donadoni has dropped Antonio Cassano to the bench for today's Serie A match with Cesena.
It was revealed this week that the Italian international had decided to take legal action against the club over unpaid wages.
He will begin the afternoon on the bench, but new signings Silvestre Varela and Cristian Rodriguez have been handed their debuts.
Meanwhile, Cesena have kept faith with forward duo Milan Djuric and Gregoire Defrel as they look to end a run of seven games without a league win.
