Antonio Mirante: 'Parma can maintain unbeaten run'

Antonio Mirante believes that Parma can make it six unbeaten on Sunday against Sampdoria.

Parma goalkeeper Antonio Mirante has targeted a sixth game unbeaten in Serie A when his side travel to Sampdoria on Sunday afternoon.

Four of Parma's last five games have ended in a draw, including the 0-0 at home to Cagliari last weekend, with Mirante aware that the next step in an unbeaten run is to start picking up wins.

"Against Cagliari we extended the streak and this gave us all a morale boost," Mirante told Parma Channel. Despite the result we were satisfied with our performance.

"We dropped points against Cagliari, but we hope to improve with a win on Sunday against Sampdoria. They deserve to be respected, but we want to increase our run before the Christmas break."

The 30-year-old has played for Parma since 2010.
