Former Republic of Ireland boss Giovanni Trapattoni is reportedly in talks to become the next manager of the Paraguay national team.
The Italian will serve as head coach with Carlos Gamarra as his deputy should the negotiations prove successful, according to Sky Sports News.
Paraguay are currently managed by caretaker boss Victor Genes, who has been in charge since Gerardo Pelusso stepped down last year.
The national team finished bottom of their qualifying group for the 2014 World Cup with 12 points from 16 matches.
