Nuremburg have moved away from the Bundesliga relegation zone by beating Hoffenheim 4-2 this evening.
The home side took the lead in the sixth minute through a Hiroshi Kiyotake free kick.
Hoffenheim fought back and equalised when Sven Schipplock headed home Kevin Volland's cross, but the hosts regained the lead two minutes before the break with a well-placed header from Swedish defender Per Nilsson.
Nuremburg continued to press in the second half and extended their lead with a goal from Sebastian Polter.
Hoffenheim were given a lifeline with 10 minutes to go when Nilsson handballed in the penalty area and Sejad Salihovic converted the resulting penalty.
As Hoffenheim threatened to equalise, Kiyotake scored his second goal of the night four minutes from time to seal victory for the home side.
The win moves Nuremburg up to 13th in the Bundesliga, while Hoffenheim drop to 16th.
