Eintracht Frankfurt ease past Nuremberg

Eintracht Frankfurt beat 10-man Nuremberg 5-2 in their Bundesliga match at the Grundig-Stadion.

Nuremberg have lost their fourth-successive match in the Bundesliga after falling to a 5-2 defeat at home against Eintracht Frankfurt.

The visitors went ahead in the 21st minute when Tranquillo Barnetta arrived in the six-yard box to slot home Stefan Aigner's right-wing cross.

Frankfurt doubled their lead five minutes after the break through Joselu, who was picked out by Aigner before finishing from close range, and they added a third soon after when Alexander Madlung headed in from a free kick.

In the 64th minute Josip Drmic pulled a goal back when he was picked out by Jose Campana's cross-field pass and drilled a strike across the keeper and into the top corner.

Nuremberg scored a second seven minutes later when Campana picked up the ball in space 25 yards out from goal and fired a powerful effort out of the reach of Kevin Trapp.

Their hopes of equalising suffered a blow with 10 minutes left to play when Javier Pinola was shown a straight red card.

Frankfurt soon made their numerical advantage count as Joselu tapped home from close range after Vaclav Kadlec's shot had been parried by the keeper.

In stoppage time the visitors scored their fifth of the afternoon when Kadlec burst into the box and poked an effort into the top corner with the outside of his foot to seal the three points.
