Neither side really threatened to take an early lead in the opening stages as they looked to settle into the game.

It was Forest who took the lead after 28 minutes, when Henri Lansbury's swinging corner found Greg Halford, who fired high into the net to make it 1-0.

The away side went in search of an equaliser and Davide Petrucci came close on 30 minutes, though his effort from the edge of the area went just wide.

Peterborough came out in the second half looking a much better side and attacked well.

They were rewarded with an equaliser after 60 minutes when George Boyd's cross found Scott Wooton, who finished well for a debut goal.

The Posh started to pile the pressure on soon after and Boyd came close with a long-range effort, though Karl Darlow saved well.

Forest restored their lead after 83 minutes from a Radoslaw Majewski corner, which was met by Elliot Ward to claim all three points for Alex McLeish's side.
