Norwich City are reportedly close to agreeing a season-long loan move for Atalanta BC winger and former Newcastle United youth team player James Troisi.
The Australian international signed a professional contract at St James' Park in 2007, but never made a first-team appearance for the Magpies.
He left Tyneside to ply his trade in Turkey one year later, before joining Italian giants Juventus on a free transfer at the end of last season.
The 25-year-old is now co-owned by the Old Lady and Atalanta, for whom he was a fringe player last season, appearing just six times in Serie A.
According to the Daily Mail, Norwich boss Chris Hughton wants to bring Troisi back to the Premier League after Canaries wide man Elliott Bennett suffered a knee ligament injury that will see him miss the rest of the year.
