Chris Hughton laments his side's ability to punish 10-man Hull

Norwich City boss Chris Hughton says that he was disappointed with his side's performance in their 1-0 loss away at Hull City.

Norwich City manager Chris Hughton has criticised his side for their failure to capitalise on their one-man advantage in yesterday's 1-0 loss at Hull City.

Yannick Sagbo was sent off in the first half, but Norwich failed to take advantage and Hughton said after the game that his side must be more ruthless.

"This league is too unforgiving," he told FourFourTwo. "There's too much quality and everybody's fighting. You have a Hull side down to 10 men that are fighting for their lives, you have to expect that in every game.

"If we come away from here and it's a 0-0 scoreline then you come away from here certainly happier.

"We gave away possession far too easily at times against a team that were at home, that were under pressure and made it difficult."

Norwich face Bury at home in the League Cup on Tuesday, before welcoming Southampton to Carrow Road next Saturday.
