Chris Hughton: "No truth" in Robbie Keane rumours

Chris Hughton rules out the possibility of Robbie Keane joining Norwich City on a loan basis during the January transfer window.

Norwich City manager Chris Hughton has insisted that there is "no truth" in speculation that has linked his club with a loan move for Robbie Keane.

Recent reports had claimed that Hughton was keen to secure the services of the Los Angeles Galaxy striker, who is said to be seeking a temporary switch while the MLS season is on a break.

However, Hughton has played down the chance of 32-year-old Keane signing on at Carrow Road.

"That's the first time I've heard that one actually. I do know Robbie, but there's no truth in the story," he told reporters.

Hughton and Keane have previously worked together when the pair were at Tottenham Hotspur.
