Coventry City secure Jacob Murphy loan signing

Norwich City allow Jacob Murphy to sign a season-long loan deal at Coventry City.

Coventry City have secured the season-long loan signing of Norwich City striker Jacob Murphy.

Murphy has found himself loaned to a number of clubs in the last 18 months, with the 20-year-old's most recent spell seeing him score four goals in 11 appearances for Colchester United last season.

Coventry boss Tony Mowbray told the club's official website: "We've been tracking Jacob for some time.

"I've continually stressed the importance of pace from both the wide and central positions, and Jacob is a player who has that attribute in abundance."

Coventry travel to Millwall on Saturday for their second game of the League One season.
