Michael Turner feels that positive results at Carrow Road will help keep Norwich City in the Premier League.

Michael Turner has insisted that Norwich City's home form will be crucial to the club retaining their status as a Premier League side this season.

The Canaries have already beaten the likes of Arsenal, Manchester United and Everton in front of their own supporters so far this campaign.

With Southampton up next at Carrow Road, centre-back Turner has admitted that it will be a key match in Norwich's survival bid.

"I think at home we have always felt confident that we can at least pick up points from games, and I think we have shown that," he told the Eastern Daily Press. "There have only been a couple of games where we have really let ourselves down. Apart from those, we have been strong and we have always felt that we have got a chance of beating teams.

"We will obviously be taking on every game fully focused and aiming to put more points on the board.

"We have got a bit of breathing space between ourselves and the bottom three, but we know what we need to do to stay clear of it and Southampton is a huge game where we will be looking to put in a performance at home again."

Norwich are currently 13th in the Premier League standings.
