Paul Lambert insists that his Norwich City side deserved the three points against Swansea City this afternoon.

Norwich City manager Paul Lambert believes that his side fully deserved their victory over Swansea City earlier today.

The visiting Canaries won by the odd goal in five at the Liberty Stadium to leave them eighth in the Premier League table.

"I thought we deserved the win," Lambert told reporters. "From the off we were excellent and we passed the ball around really well, and then Swansea scored against the run of play.

"But we were terrific in the second half and I always thought we were in the game. We gave as good as we got and we are always a threat, even though we were hanging on at the end.

"We're a really good side, we pass it well and we've got players that want to do well for themselves and for the football club."

Norwich's next match is a home FA Cup tie against Leicester City.
