Prince Ali has called on FIFA president Sepp Blatter to leave his post immediately.
The 39-year-old, who stood for the presidency in May, believes that the election must not be rushed, but it should be overseen by a leader from outside of football.
In June, Blatter announced plans to leave his role within the world governing body, but the Swiss businessman remains in charge until a new president is elected.
In a statement to AP, Prince Ali said: "The future of FIFA is at stake. If a December election is called, there will not be the meaningful change in the leadership of FIFA that we so desperately need.
"President Blatter's resignation cannot be dragged out any longer. He must leave now. [Blatter] cannot be permitted to plan his succession and manage this election process."
Blatter stepped down following overwhelming pressure on his position due to investigations by the US and Swiss authorities regarding allegations of corruption within FIFA.
The executive committee will gather in Zurich today, with Blatter expected to speak to the media this afternoon for the first time since announcing his departure.
