Newcastle United striker Dwight Gayle has reportedly agreed to join West Bromwich Albion on loan as part of a deal that will see Salomon Rondon head the opposite way.
Venezuela international Rondon is believed to be undergoing a medical with the Magpies ahead of finalising his switch to St James' Park.
Gayle was always likely to be involved in the transfer in some capacity, as Newcastle are reluctant to pay the full £16.5m to trigger Rondon's release clause.
Sky Sports News suggests that the 27-year-old will only stay at The Hawthorns for one season, however, with a loan agreement now in place.
