Newcastle United manager Alan Pardew has insisted that he is looking ahead to the summer transfer window and thinking about the players he will be able to bring in.
The Magpies' form since earning the points needed for survival has been poor, and with not a lot to play for in the remaining games he has started to consider his transfer business.
"We've looked at a couple things last week that might be opportunities for us," Pardew told the Shields Gazette. "And we also looked at a couple players for the summer.
"That's an area we need to get to, but we'll be in a good position in the summer, I think. But we need to get there first."
Newcastle are currently ninth in the Premier League with 46 points.
