Newcastle United manager Alan Pardew has reportedly decided to look into the possibility of re-signing Demba Ba.
The Senegalese striker scored 29 goals in 54 games for the Magpies before securing a move to Chelsea in January 2013.
However, Ba has found it difficult to hold down a regular spot in the Chelsea side since arriving at Stamford Bridge, and his opportunities are likely to be even more limited following the signing of Diego Costa.
According to the Daily Star, Pardew is keen to bring a forward to the club this summer, and a move for the 29-year-old could be an option.
Reports have suggested that Newcastle may have to battle Everton for Ba's services.
