Nicklas Bendtner on Newcastle United's radar?

A report in Germany claims that ex-Arsenal and current Wolfsburg centre-forward Nicklas Bendtner is of interest to Newcastle United.

Newcastle United could reportedly make a move to bring Nicklas Bendtner back to the Premier League.

There have been suggestions of late that the former Arsenal striker has been informed by current club Wolfsburg that he is free to depart during this month's transfer window.

The Dane's representatives are now said to have opened up discussions with a number of teams, one of which is Newcastle, according to Bild.

Bendtner, who also had a loan spell with Birmingham City during his stint in England, scored 47 goals in 171 outings for the Gunners.
