Fulham defender Ryan Fredericks has reportedly emerged as a possible transfer target for Newcastle United.
Fredericks has just helped Fulham earn promotion to the Premier League, with 47 appearances being made in the Championship this season.
However, the right-back's contract expires at the end of next month and although the player has expressed a desire to remain at Craven Cottage, a move to another top-flight club appears to be a possibility.
According to Chronicle Live, the Magpies are ready to join West Ham United and Crystal Palace in the race to sign the 25-year-old on a free transfer.
DeAndre Yedlin has established himself as the club's first-choice right-back, but Newcastle allegedly want to improve competition for places at St James' Park.
Fredericks has previously spent time in the North-East with a loan spell coming at Middlesbrough during the 2014-15 campaign.
