Veteran goalkeeper Steve Harper looks certain to start in Newcastle United's Premier League clash with Everton on Monday.

Newcastle United goalkeeper Steve Harper will reportedly make his first Premier League since the 2010-11 season against Everton on Monday.

The 37-year-old has been with the Magpies since 1993, but has found himself playing second fiddle to Shay Given and Tim Krul in recent seasons.

However, number one stopper Krul has been ruled out of Monday's clash with an elbow injury, meaning that Harper will almost certainly be given a place in the side.

Harper has made 192 appearances for Newcastle.
